Shadow Visits are a great way for current 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th graders to experience Chaminade. Parents may also tour Chaminade the same day their son visits.
Shadow Visit questions and answers
When should I arrive and how much time will the Shadow Visit take?
You should plan to arrive at 7:30 AM. You will complete your Shadow Visit around 12:30 PM.
Where should my parents and I go when I arrive at Chaminade?
Your parent(s) should park in any visitor parking place in front of Chaminade Hall. Walk up the front steps of Chaminade Hall, and once inside, the Admissions Office is the first office on your left.
Who will I meet on campus?
You will meet with Matthew Saxer '85, Director of Admissions, and Dianne Dunning-Gill, Associate Admissions Director. You will visit four classes and be given a campus tour by your Student Ambassadors.
What should I wear for the Shadow Visit?
You should wear a collared shirt, khaki pants or shorts, and athletic shoes.

Why does a Shadow Visit make good sense?
You can get answers to your questions about Chaminade that are not addressed in print materials or on the web. You can see first hand how the classes are conducted and meet some of your future teachers.
When can prospective students shadow?
Available days for Shadow Visits between now and our Spring Break are:
- February: 7 - 10, 13 - 17, 21 - 24, 27 - 29
- March: 1, 2, 5 - 9
A maximum of five students can shadow on any given day.
Can parents tour the same day our son has his Shadow Visit?
Yes. Once students are paired with their Student Ambassadors for the half-day, parents can tour our campus from 7:55 - 9:00 AM or 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM.

Family Tours
Prospective family tours can be scheduled Monday through Friday. Prospective families will tour our campus and meet with a member of Chaminade's Admissions Office. All tours are scheduled by appointment - please contact Dianne Dunning-Gill, Associate Admissions Director, at 314-692-6640 to schedule your family tour. Given our extensive 55-acre campus, most family tours take about 75 minutes.
