Liturgy and Prayer

To help the Chaminade Family grow in the love of God through experiences of prayer, sacraments, liturgy and the Church is an integral part of the Campus Ministry Mission Statement.

Thus, a Eucharistic Liturgy, either the Mass or a Communion Service, is offered virtually every Friday school is in session. Chaminade also celebrates the Eucharist on the Holy Days, All Saints, Immaculate Conception, and the Christmas Midnight Mass. Other Masses celebrate Marian feasts, Blessed Chaminade Day, and special occasions such as Junior Ring Day and Senior-Mother Mass. In addition, liturgical services are held each block during the morning of Ash Wednesday, and the Sacrament of Reconciliation is offered during the seasons of Advent and Lent.

Today's Mass Readings

Three O'Clock Prayer

Lord Jesus, we gather in spirit at the foot of the Cross with your Mother and the disciple whom you loved.

We ask your pardon for our sins which are the cause of your death.  We thank you for remembering us in that hour of salvation and for giving us Mary as our Mother.

Holy Virgin, take us under your protection and open us to the action of the Holy Spirit.

St. John, obtain for us the grace of taking Mary into our life, as you did, and of assisting her in her mission.

Marianist Doxology

May the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit be glorified in all places through the Immaculate Virgin Mary. Amen.
