Welcome to the Middle School
Chaminade's middle school program provides exceptional opportunities for our students to grow and develop as we seek to prepare them for success in high school. Our house system allows all students to build unique, personal relationships with not only faculty, but other students throughout the school.
Our middle school faculty members are trained in their content area and have an exceptional knowledge of the material they are teaching. In addition to content expertise, we pride ourselves on having a firm grasp of the developmental stages of middle school boys. Our teachers are well versed on how boys best learn and what teaching strategies can be employed to get the most out of the boys in our classes.
Our students are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the many sports teams, clubs, and activities that our school has to offer. There is something for all of our students here.
Our middle school academic program is diverse and affords every student the opportunity to master skills necessary to be successful in high school. In addition to the core disciplines, we offer advanced mathematics, intensive writing programs, STEM, and a fine arts program that enables students to take classes in the state-of-the-art Skip Viragh Center for the Arts.
We are so proud of our Experiential Education Program. A student that enters 6th grade will have been to the Grand Tetons in Wyoming, Chicago, Iowa, and Washington D.C. by the time he finishes 8th grade. Each of these trips has a focus that ties into the curriculum and allows students to experience these places in new and unique ways.
In an effort to fulfill our mission as a Catholic, Marianist institution, we are able to offer a comprehensive faith formation program for our middle school students. Each student is able to participate in retreats, service, liturgy, and faith sharing through our campus ministry department.
Chaminade's middle school students can expect to be challenged to grow spiritually, morally, intellectually, and socially, so as to give them the tools they need to thrive in high school and beyond.
Many blessings to you and your family,
Todd Guidry, Ed.D
Middle School Principal
