MISSION STATEMENT

The Skip Viragh Center for the Arts is dedicated to supporting Chaminade College Preparatory School in cultivating the inherent gifts, skills and talents of young men in grades 6-12 independently and through an affiliation with the community that includes but is not limited to engaging and enlightening programs exhibiting the educational power of the arts.

ABOUT THE DONOR

"Skip" (Albert P.) Viragh '59, son of Albert and Alvina Viragh, grew up on Spoede Road, just across from Chaminade Park. He and his two brothers (Robert '61 and Mark '66) and two sisters (Katherine and Jean) grew up as Chaminade neighbors. Skip began his journey here in 1950 as a fourth grader. The Viragh brothers, collectively, spent 24 years of their lives at Chaminade.
