Class of 2019 - Senior and Graduation Activities

Graduation Requirements

In addition to the Academic, Service and House requirements outlined in Dr. K's letter sent out on March 1, seniors are required to attend certain activities leading up to Graduation:

  • Graduation Practice
  • Senior Class Day (Award Ceremony)
  • Laptop Turn In
  • Baccalaureate Mass & Reception
Detailed information for these and other activities are listed below. Other requirements must also be completed before final transcripts and diplomas are released.

  • Tuition and fees must be paid in full to the Business Office
  • Laptops must be turned in to the LRC on the last day of exams
  • Athletic uniforms and equipment that are property of Chaminade

Senior Mom Prom - April 28

Senior Mom Prom will be held on Sunday, April 28 at Old Warson Country Club.

Graduation Practice - May 10

MANDATORY - Friday, May 10, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. - Juergens Hall

Seniors report to Juergens Hall for Graduation Practice after the last exam. Bring your laptops (see below). Practice will last approximately one hour.

Senior Laptop Turn In - May 10

MANDATORY - Friday, May 10, 2019 at 11:30am - Juergens Hall

  • All Seniors are required to return their laptops to the LRC Staff upon reporting to Graduation Practice in Juergens Hall.
  • It is the student’s responsibility to back up his data to an external source prior to Friday, May 10th. The hard drive will be replaced and all warranty repairs performed.
  • Seniors will still be able to access Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, Canvas, Google Drive and OneDrive on the repaired laptop.
  • Transcripts will be held and grade reports blocked until the laptop has been turned in.

Senior Class Day - May 15

MANDATORY - Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 8:45 a.m. - Juergens Hall

  • Seniors report to Juergens Hall no later than 8:45 a.m. to pick up caps, gowns and house/honors cords.
  • Senior Class Day dress code includes white dress shirt, tie, dress trousers, belt, dress socks and dress shoes and will be strictly enforced. Seniors must be clean-shaven; mustaches and beards are not permitted.
  • Seniors will process to the Skip at 9:00 a.m. for award presentation that begins at 9:10 a.m. This is an all school event. Parents are welcome but invitations will not be sent.
  • Caps, gowns and cords are to be taken home. Please iron or steam gowns prior to graduation.

Senior Laptop Pick Up – May 15

MANDATORY – Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 10:30am – Laptop Repair Center
  • Repaired laptops will be available for pickup in the LRC after the Senior Class Day Event.
  • All Seniors are required to make arrangements to pick up their repaired laptop by Sunday, June 30th.
  • See Mr. Dailey in Campus Ministry if you would like to donate your laptop.

Baccalaureate Mass and Reception - May 17

MANDATORY – Friday, May 17, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. - Skip Viragh Siefert Theatre

A reception will follow in the Rotunda. Parents, grandparents and siblings are all welcome. RSVPs are not necessary. Seniors are expected to attend even if parents cannot.

Dress code: Coat and Tie attire - dress shirt, tie, dress trousers, belt, dress socks and dress shoes.

Graduation Ceremony - May 19

Sunday, May 19, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. - Skip Viragh - Siefert Auditorium
  • Siefert Auditorium doors open at 1:30 p.m. Ceremony begins at 2:30 p.m.
  • Entry to the Siefert Auditorium is by ticket only. See "Graduation Ticket Information | Extra Ticket Request & Special Accomodations Form" section below.

  • Seniors must report to the Atrium no later than 2:00 p.m. in Graduation dress code attire. See "Graduation - Things to Know"

Graduation Ticket Information | Extra Ticket Request & Special Accomodations Form

Sunday, May 19, 2:30 p.m.

  • Entry to the Seifert Theatre is by ticket only.
  • Seniors are allocated 6 tickets each. If more or less than the 6 tickets per Senior is needed, complete the Ticket Request Form below.
    • Requests must be completed by Friday, April 12 to be put on the graduation ticket wait list.
    • Families on the wait list will receive up to 2 extra tickets unless more become available. There is no guarantee you will receive additional tickets.
    • Requests after April 12 will be given lower priority.
  • If fewer than 6 tickets are needed, you may share them with another family or you may complete the form below to indicate the lesser amount needed. These excess tickets will be used for families on the wait list.
  • Once you receive your tickets, any that will not be used should be returned to Mrs. Maureen Berry prior to graduation to be disbursed to wait list families.
  • Tickets must be picked up and signed for by the Senior or a parent at the Skip Box Office April 29-May 1, 2019 between the hours of 2:50 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Tickets will not be mailed. Wait list tickets will be distributed the week prior to Graduation.
  • Seating is general admission with the exception of a small number of reserved seats for auction winners and commencement speaker guests. The balcony will be open for seating.
  • We are limited to 8 wheelchair spots. If a family member requires wheelchair seating or other special accommodations, please complete the online ticket request form below.
  • Please guard your tickets. They will not be reissued.
  • Guests without tickets may wait in the lobby or in the Little Theatre during the Graduation ceremony. Standing in the aisles of theatre is strictly prohibited.
  • Theatre doors will open at 1:30 p.m. The ceremony will begin at 2:30 p.m.

Senior Lock-In - May 19 | CONSENT DUE APRIL 20TH

Sunday, May 19, 2019 at 10:30 p.m. - Sports Fusion, 140 Long Road, Chesterfield, MO 63005

This is a fun, overnight event for the boys to be together as a class one last time. Activities include dodge ball, basketball, archery attack, laser tag, poker, blackjack, video games, putt-putt golf, as well as a magician and a hypnotist. Food and drinks are provided.

Dress code: Casual and comfortable

Parents are asked to drop off and pick up their sons from this event:
Start Time: 10:30 p.m. Sunday, May 19
End Time: 5:00 a.m. Monday, May 20
