Available Positions:

Vice President of Finance and Operations

Chaminade College Preparatory School, an independent Catholic and Marianist school for young men in grades 6–12, is seeking a highly qualified Vice President of Finance and Operations to serve as a key member of the school’s leadership team. Reporting directly to the President, the Vice President provides strategic oversight of all financial and operational aspects of the school to ensure long-term sustainability and mission effectiveness.

Primary Responsibilities

Provide leadership and direction for all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and reporting
Oversee business office functions, human resources, annual audit, benefits administration, facilities management, and safety and security
Administer and provide oversight of the school’s financial aid program to ensure equitable and mission-aligned allocation of resources
Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the school’s mission and strategic plan
Participate in the management of capital projects and long-term campus planning
Collaborate with the President, Board of Trustees, and administrative team on financial planning and resource allocation
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and reporting requirements

Qualifications

Commitment to Catholic education and support of the Marianist charism
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field required; advanced degree or CPA strongly preferred
Minimum of 5 years of senior-level financial and operational leadership experience, ideally in education, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations
Demonstrated expertise in strategic financial planning, budgeting, and organizational management
Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
Experience implementing innovative and forward-thinking internal business practices

Substitute PE Teacher

This is a temporary, per-diem faculty position in the Physical Education Department who reports to the department chair and the principal. This position will cover 2-3 weeks in September and into October.

Ideal candidates will:

Assess student progress, provide students and parents with specific feedback, and use the results to adjust instruction as needed;
Implement the curriculum and lesson plans that will foster knowledge and skills essential to effectively teach students in the grade assigned;
Provide opportunities for academic support and challenge;
Actively participate in student and faculty activities (retreats, lunch duty, faculty meetings, and in-service activities).

Custodians/Utility Employees

These are full- and part-time staff positions in the Facility Department that report to the Facilty Manager.

In this position you will:

Perform custodial work in academic, athletic, and resident areas
Respond to immediate custodial requests
Perform room set-up for special events and activities
Perform minor maintenance such as lamp and filter replacement, painting
Assist with other maintenance tasks as needed

Substitute Teachers

These are per-diem faculty positions that report to the high school principal.

Substitute teachers will:

Assume duties of the regular classroom teacher promptly and in accordance with school rules;
May supervise students in out-of-class settings (e.g., assemblies, lunchroom) as directed and supervised by the principal;
Implement existing lesson plans in a manner that ensures the integrity of academic time, and motivates students to learn and participate;
Instruct students regarding a variety of classroom topics/courses of instruction, as determined by the lesson plan;
Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students. Address the various learning styles of students accordingly;
Assign reasonable tasks and homework to students in accordance with the lesson plans;
Maintain classroom control that fosters a safe, positive environment for all students and staff;
Ensure adequate supervision of students and classroom environment to assure health, welfare, and safety of students.

Resident Hall Assistant (Prefect)

This is a staff position in the Resident Department who reports to the Resident Director and the Principal.

The role of Prefect requires that you supervise approximately 60 young men one or two days each week in addition to an alternating weekend schedule. Compensation includes room, board, and a stipend.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Being an adult mentor to the resident students
Being available to assist students with their academic work
Moderating recreation periods
Driving the students to off campus activities and appointments
Appropriately addressing disciplinary issues and safety concerns

General Requirements:

Applicants for Middle School positions have experience teaching in the middle school environment.
Applicant possesses both a BA and MA in content or related area.
Applicant possesses Missouri State Certification.
Applicant recognizes the importance of student faith development as a priority in a Catholic, Marianist school.
