Chaminade College Preparatory School, an independent, Catholic Day and Resident school, sponsored by the Marianist Province of the United States, is dedicated to developing the inherent spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and physical potential of young men in Sixth through Twelfth Grade so they are prepared for success in college and life and ultimately become the men the world needs them to be.

Blessed Chaminade Alumni Awards

Award Criteria

The criteria for Alumnus of the Year (bestowed annually at the Blessed Chaminade Liturgy) are:
  • The Alumnus of the Year gives of his volunteer time, his skills, and/or his resources to his alma mater.
  • The Alumnus of the Year is involved in school/alumni activities.
  • The Alumnus of the Year gives of himself to his community outside of Chaminade in some capacity.
  • The Alumnus of the Year exemplifies the motto of Chaminade – Esto Vir.
 
The criteria for the Honorary Alumnus/Alumna of the Year Award (bestowed bi-annually) are:
  • The Honorary Alumnus/Alumna of the Year candidates are nominated because their lives reflect that they are living the mission of Chaminade.
  • The Honorary Alumnus/Alumna of the Year candidates could be or have been an exemplary “non-alumni/alumna” volunteer who has shared his/her skills and resources with Chaminade.
  • The Honorary Alumnus/Alumna of the Year candidates must have demonstrated their commitment and loyalty to Chaminade.
  • This award is bestowed bi-annually at the Blessed Chaminade Liturgy (to be awarded next in 2026).
 
The criteria for Humanitarian Alumnus Award (bestowed bi-annually):
  • This alumnus gives exceptional service to better his community and provides undaunted support through his time, skills and/or resources to a charitable or non-profit organization
  • This award is bestowed bi-annually at the Blessed Chaminade Liturgy (to be awarded next in 2025).
