Chaminade College Preparatory School, an independent, Catholic Day and Resident school, sponsored by the Marianist Province of the United States, is dedicated to developing the inherent spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and physical potential of young men in Sixth through Twelfth Grade so they are prepared for success in college and life and ultimately become the men the world needs them to be.

Mauclerc House

Mauclerc House Crest
The Mauclerc House is named after Rev. Francis Xavier Mauclerc, S.M. Father Mauclerc was the first Marianist to be ordained in the United States. Originally from France, he joined the Marianists as a seminarian in 1850 and was ordained in Texas in 1852.

The House Crest

Red and white are the Chaminade school colors. Black is the Mauclerc House color. The five stripes represent the five Characteristics of Marianist Education. The M and anchor that are part of our school seal represent Mary and faith. The cross also represents our faith in Christianity. 2003 is the year Mauclerc House began.

The Latin phrase FORTES IN FIDE means Strong in Faith. This is the official motto of the Society of Mary.
