As we enter this season of gratitude, we are reminded of the many blessings that enrich our Chaminade community. One of those blessings is the dedication and commitment shown by our students and coaches, most recently demonstrated by our Swimming and Diving Team, who captured their first State title in more than 40 years. We extend our heartfelt thanks and congratulations to Coach Keith Mug, whose steadfast leadership serves as a model for his students and athletes on how to come together in times of adversity. We also continue to be thankful for long-time swim coach, Kevin Brennan '71, who has coached generations of Chaminade Gentlemen, and now has a State title to his name. The leadership from both Coach Mug and Coach Brennan has been instrumental in nurturing resilience, unity, and character within the team.
To honor this special moment for our school community, we will not have school on Tuesday, November 25.
Please note the following important updates for Thanksgiving week:
- Our annual Thanksgiving Mass will now be held on Monday, November 24, following our usual Mass schedule.
- Dress code for Monday will be House polos.
- Classes will resume on Monday, December 1.
As we celebrate Thanksgiving, we are reminded of how much Chaminade has to be thankful for, our students, our families, our faculty and staff, and the traditions that bring us together in faith and community. This adjustment to our schedule allows us to enter the holiday with joy, pride, and gratitude.
Congratulations again to our State champions!
