Marianist Life Community (MLC) (6th-12th)

Chaminade MLC

At Chaminade College Preparatory School, our Marianist L.I.F.E. Community (MLC) is a vibrant, faith-based student group open to everyone. “L.I.F.E.” stands for Living in Faith Experience, a reflection of our commitment to living out the Marianist charism in community.

MLC brings to life Fr. William Joseph Chaminade’s vision of a faith renewed through community and leadership by the laity. Students grow together in faith, virtue, and service—supporting one another as equals on their spiritual journey.

Chaminade MLC Mass

Our program is led by more than 30 junior and senior Core Members, each of whom has participated in the Marianist LIFE Week, a week-long summer retreat connecting students from Marianist schools and parishes across the U.S. and around the world. Throughout the year, Core Members receive ongoing formation through retreats and monthly Sodality small groups, preparing them to serve as spiritual leaders and role models within our community.

MLC Mass in the Skip Rotunda

Every Friday morning, students from all divisions gather for Mass or a prayer service organized by MLC Core Members—often drawing more than 100 participants. Once a month, the high school community also comes together on Saturday evenings for fellowship, service, and shared worship at Our Lady of the Pillar, followed by a community meal. These gatherings not only strengthen our faith community but also raise funds for causes such as the Fr. Ralph Siefert Scholarship and Marianist missions in Africa and India.

Our middle school MLC meets during the school day, with activities and prayer experiences led by our Core Members and tailored to younger students. Together, MLC helps every student at Chaminade grow in faith, friendship, and service—living fully the Marianist spirit.
